AI readiness audit

A two-week, fixed-fee audit of your data, systems, team and processes. Ends in a scorecard and a plan for the gaps that actually matter.

What it is

The readiness audit answers one question: what stands between your organization and a working AI system in production? We review your data quality and access, your integration surface, your security and compliance constraints, and your team's skills, all measured against the use cases you actually want to ship, not a generic checklist.

It runs in two weeks at a fixed fee. We hold structured interviews with your engineering, data and business leads, inspect the systems involved hands-on where access allows, and test a sample of your data against the requirements of your target use cases. You get findings backed by direct inspection, not questionnaire answers.

You walk away with a readiness scorecard across data, systems, people and governance, plus a gap plan that separates blockers from nice-to-haves. Most clients find they are closer than they thought: the gaps are usually specific and fixable rather than structural, and they rarely stop a first pilot from starting within the quarter.

Why it works

01

A number instead of a feeling

Readiness scored per dimension against your actual target use cases, so you know exactly where you stand and why.

02

Blockers separated from noise

Only gaps that block your specific use cases go on the must-fix list. Everything else is ranked, dated and optional.

03

Fixed scope, fixed fee

Two weeks, a defined deliverable and a price you know up front. No open-ended discovery phase.

04

Evidence for the budget conversation

The scorecard and gap plan give your leadership a concrete basis for deciding what to fund and in what order.

05

A faster pilot afterwards

Pilots that follow an audit skip weeks of surprises, because data access, security and integration questions are already answered.

How we run it

01

Scope

We agree the target use cases and the systems in scope, so the audit measures readiness for something specific.

02

Inspect

Interviews with your leads plus hands-on review of data samples, system interfaces and existing tooling.

03

Score

Findings are scored across data, systems, people and governance, each with the evidence attached.

04

Plan

We present the scorecard and a sequenced gap plan, and recommend the first pilot that fits your current readiness.

What you get

Readiness scorecard across data, systems, people and governance
Data quality and access assessment for target use cases
Systems and integration review
Sequenced gap plan separating blockers from later fixes
Recommendation for the first pilot

Common questions

What access do you need?

Read access to a sample of relevant data and a conversation with the people who run the systems. Where direct access is not possible, we work from schemas, exports and screen-shares. NDAs and data processing agreements are standard before anything is shared.

Do we need this before every project?

No. One audit typically covers a whole family of use cases. If your first use case is small and self-contained, we may recommend skipping straight to a pilot.

What if the result is 'not ready'?

You get the shortest path to ready: which gaps block your use case, what closing them costs, and in what order. That plan is often worth more than a premature pilot.
